Ideas worth spreading start with questions worth asking. Whether you're curious about speakers, schedules, or snacks, we've covered the essentials below.
TEDxHarvardSquare is an independently organized TEDx conference that brings together innovators, founders, researchers, and community leaders from Harvard, MIT, and beyond to share ideas worth spreading about our collective future. It operates under license from TED but is curated and produced by a local team.
The 2026 flagship event is themed “The Future We Choose”, exploring how our decisions today shape the political, technological, cultural, and human futures we’ll share.
This event is designed for YOU! It’s for founders, creators, students, investors, scientists, builders, and curious citizens who want to explore bold ideas and build what comes next together. It’s both a day of TEDx talks and an immersive gathering for discovery sessions, networking, and collaboration.
Doors open at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, with programming scheduled approximately from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Please let us know about any accessibility needs or accommodations when you register, or email our team at tedxharvardsqconferences@gmail.com and we’ll work with you to support your experience.
The event is at the David Rubenstein Treehouse, 20 Western Ave, Allston/Boston, MA 02134, accessible via Harvard shuttles, MBTA buses (66, 70, 86), Red Line stops at Harvard or Central Square (15–20 minute walk), Bluebikes, walking, or biking. Parking in Allston is limited; we strongly encourage public transit or rideshare.
For everyone’s comfort and safety, we recommend bringing only small personal bags or backpacks; large luggage or oversized items may not be allowed inside the main venue spaces. All bags are subject to standard venue and security checks in line with Harvard policies.
Yes! Your ticket includes access to on-site refreshments with other attendees. You’ll be able to share any allergies or dietary preferences by contacting the team in advance so we can inform our catering partners.
Water will be available at the venue, and we encourage you to bring a reusable, empty water bottle to refill throughout the day. Please avoid bringing large beverage containers or glass where possible.
Think smart casual or business casual. Be comfortable enough to move between sessions and explore, yet polished enough for photos and networking. Layers are recommended, as temperatures in meeting spaces can vary.
Professional photo and video teams will be capturing the event, including audience shots and crowd scenes, for use in TEDxHarvardSquare and TEDx-related materials. By attending, you acknowledge you may appear in event photos and recordings.
Talks are planned to be professionally recorded and, pending speaker and TEDx approval, will be published after the event on the official TEDxHarvardSquare and/or TEDx YouTube channels and linked from our website.
The program is designed primarily for adults and university-age attendees, with dense content and a full-day schedule. All are welcome, but the event is not tailored or designed for young children.
You’ll experience multiple curated sessions of short TEDx talks, plus interactive sessions, workshops, and pop-up experiences throughout the day, with scheduled breaks for coffee, refreshments, and conversation. Expect a full-day, multi-track experience rather than a single continuous lecture.
You can stay connected by joining our email list and following TEDxHarvardSquare on social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok) for updates, future events, and video releases. We’ll also share ways to plug into community meetups, partner programs, and future TEDxHarvardSquare gatherings in follow-up emails after the conference.
